Privacy Policy

Last updated: 7 August 2026

GoHero Xpress ("GoHero Xpress", "we", "us" or "our") operates this website and the GoHero Xpress mobile application. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, how we use and share it, and the choices you have. We process personal information in line with the Philippine Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act No. 10173), its Implementing Rules and Regulations, and the issuances of the National Privacy Commission.

1. Information we collect

We collect only what we genuinely need to run our services. Depending on how you interact with us, this may include:

  • Contact details you give us, such as your name, mobile number and email address when you join the waitlist, message us or create an account.
  • Booking details, including pick-up and drop-off addresses, delivery instructions, item descriptions, rental dates and messages exchanged with your Hero.
  • Location data, used to match you with nearby Heroes and to provide live tracking of a booking. You can switch location access off in your device settings, although some features will not work without it.
  • Payment information, such as wallet top-ups, transaction history and fare records. Card and e-wallet details are handled by our licensed payment providers; we do not store full card numbers on our systems.
  • Verification records for Heroes, including government-issued ID, driver's licence, vehicle registration and similar documents needed to vet the people who serve you.
  • Technical and usage data, such as IP address, device and browser type, pages viewed and referring pages, collected automatically when you visit this website.

2. How we use your information

  • To provide the services you request: matching you with a Hero, routing bookings and enabling live GPS tracking from pin to doorstep.
  • To calculate fares, process wallet payments, issue receipts and resolve billing disputes.
  • To verify Heroes, investigate incidents, prevent fraud and keep the community safe.
  • To provide customer support and respond to your enquiries.
  • To send service updates and, where you have opted in, launch announcements and promotions. You can unsubscribe at any time.
  • To understand how the website and app are used so that we can improve them.
  • To comply with legal, tax and regulatory obligations.

3. Legal bases for processing

We rely on your consent for marketing messages and for optional features such as precise location. We rely on the performance of our contract with you to deliver bookings and process payments, on our legitimate interests to secure and improve the platform, and on legal obligations where the law requires us to retain or disclose records.

4. Sharing your information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only in these situations:

  • With the Hero assigned to your booking, who receives the details needed to complete it, such as your first name, contact number and the relevant addresses.
  • With service providers acting on our behalf for hosting, mapping, analytics, messaging and payment processing, all bound by confidentiality obligations.
  • With authorities or other third parties where required by law or court order, or to protect the rights, property or safety of our users, our Heroes or the public.
  • With a successor entity in the event of a merger, acquisition or reorganisation, subject to this Policy.

5. Cookies and analytics

This website uses a small number of cookies and similar technologies to keep the site working, remember your preferences and measure aggregate traffic. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the essential parts of the site will still work, but some preferences may not be remembered.

6. Data retention

We keep personal information only for as long as it is needed for the purposes described above, or for as long as the law requires. Booking and payment records are generally retained for the period prescribed by Philippine tax and accounting rules. Waitlist details are deleted once you ask us to remove them or when they are no longer relevant.

7. How we protect your information

We use encryption in transit, access controls and vetting of personnel to protect your information. No system can be completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we will notify you and the National Privacy Commission of a personal data breach where the law requires it.

8. Your rights

Under the Data Privacy Act you have the right to be informed, to object, to access, to rectify, to erase or block, to damages and to data portability, as well as the right to lodge a complaint with the National Privacy Commission. To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details below. We will respond within a reasonable period and may need to verify your identity first.

9. Children

Our services are not directed at children under 18 and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

10. Third-party links

Our site and app link to third-party services such as app stores, maps and payment providers. Those services have their own privacy policies and we are not responsible for their practices, so we encourage you to read them.

11. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as our services evolve. When we do, we will revise the date shown at the top of this page and tell you about significant changes through the app or by email.
